1626 is very fortunate to have a dedicated team of volunteers who make up our Support Committee. The Support Committee looks after a number of areas some of which includes organizing fundraising activities, organizing food on weekend activities, soliciting sponsorships and much more. A big factor on corps strength is cadet attendance and retention which depends mainly on the type and quality of the activities conducted. It is through a good relationship between the Commanding Officer and the Support Committee that the required support can be provided and the cadets can participate in an energetic, challenging and fun program.
The committee is comprised of cadet parents (past and present), former cadets, and community leaders. New members are always welcome! You can join the Support Committee and be a regular contributor, or you can just volunteer on occasion when you have spare time.

We Welcome Individual and Business Donations
A big part of the Cadet program - locally - is obtained through the generous donations of both individuals as well the local business community. To receive a charitable tax receipt, cheques must be made out to the "Army Cadet League of Canada (Ontario)" [ACLC-O]. In the MEMO field, please put "1626 Army Cadet Corps (West Niagara)". You can hand deliver the cheque to the Support Committee Treasurer who will process the cheque through the ACLC(O) office in Toronto. If more convenient, you can call our corps office and press 4 to arrange for the donation to be picked up. The ACLC(O) will then directly send you the charitable tax receipt and send 1626 Army Cadet Corps (West Niagara) the full amount of the donation.
